ELAN have been producing water craft (boats, kayaks, canoes, four- and eight-seated sculleries) since 1949. However, planned production began in 1962 with the manufacturing of boats from reinforced polyester; the material that at the time meant a revolutionary world innovation in crafts manufacturing. Nowadays Elan Marine is competing in a very aggressive international market of production boats.
This 1988 model, “Amourette” is a very nice example of this proven design. The present owner has enjoyed racing and cruising her in the Hobart environs for the last 15-20 years.
Well set up to be easily sailed shorthanded, it is fully equipped with a furling headsail, mainsail on boom and autopilot. This is a comfortable and capable vessel
