$95,000
The Catalina 310 is one of the most versatile cruising yachts in its class. With a huge number sold worldwide and with accolades for its build quality, sailing performance, ease of handling and innovative accommodations (superior to many 40-footers reviewers say) the C310 has earned 'classic' status. The features include... *2 private double cabins (the forward cabin is described as the owner's stateroom). *A welcoming, light and bright saloon featuring teak timber finish, teak and holly sole and a plush settee around a cherrywood table, *A full-service (L-shaped) galley, *A private bathroom (hot shower plus cockpit shower), *a navigator's nook and on deck... *A deep, remarkably roomy cockpit with a fold leaf table, *Easy boarding via a transom step and gate, *Ample storage above and below deck, *Performance under sail is excellent. The simple sailing rig (self-tacking jib) is managed from the cockpit and is easily handled by a crew of two. *A 26 hp ever-reliable Universal (Westerbeke) diesel engine effortlessly drives the vessel at around 5 or 6 knots.

Accommodation | Step aboard via the substantial transom step, through the transom gate, and into the deep cockpit featuring a fold-leaf table. There is a BBQ mounted on the pushpit. This is the space for alfresco dining and relaxing after dropping the anchor. Then four steps down puts you on a teak-and-holly sole in the bright, well-ventilated open, teak-trimmed saloon. Immediately to starboard of the companionway is the galley in an L-shaped alcove convenient to both the cockpit and saloon. The owner's cabin forward offers a generous double berth (with a custom innerspring mattress) and a rather unusual opening panel in the bulkhead to give the master cabin open access to the saloon. There are pull-out drawers under the berth, cabinets, and hanging lockers. Aft, the 310 has another double berth tucked under the cockpit. This space is light, bright and well-ventilated thanks to ports in the cockpit. A padded backrest and a navigator's table fold out of the corner by the galley. The bathroom, offers pressure hot water, a shower and a toilet with a holding tank. The dinette with plush upholstered settee around a cherry wood table is immediately aft of the bulkhead. As said elsewhere, the 310 offers a level of comfort more akin to much larger boats. |
