Cassidy 43 "Veedon Fleece"
$84,950
“Veedon Fleece”, is a Kevin Cassidy (New Zealand) designed and built classic blue-water cruising yacht. With her fine lines and immensely strong, cold-moulded construction (strip laminated Kauri Pine) this vessel is set up to safely and efficiently cross oceans with a minimal crew of two. The rig is simple, in-boom furling main, furling genoa and staysail (cutter rig). The crew are well-sheltered in the long cockpit by a hard spray hood and a hard cockpit canopy (bimini) with side curtains. The decks are wide with minimal clutter with substantial sea-rails. There is a complete array of navigational, communication and safety electronic equipment. The crews' workload at sea is minimised with efficient Fleming wind-vane steering and a power cockpit winch. A rugged and reliable 50-hp Perkins 4.108 diesel engine provides plenty of auxiliary power. Below deck, the saloon is light and spacious. The full-service galley to port of the companionway is a proper sea galley, everything is within the cook's easy reach and located to service both the cockpit and dinette. The navigation station is to starboard with space for wet hanging. Aft and to starboard of the companionway is a large (3/4) quarter-berth. To starboard is a space given over to storage but which could be set up as a berth. Amidships is a timber dining table surrounded by beautifully upholstered settees (to seat up to 10). Immediately forward of the bulkhead is the head (to port). Opposite is a small bench seat and lockers including a wet hanging locker. Forward of the secondary bulkhead is the double V-berth.
This vessel presents very well. If you have aspirations of cruising the world (or perhaps just cruising the coast) this fine package is more than capable of realizing your dreams.
