Beneteau Oceanis 34 "Comfortably Numb" JUST LISTED
$175,000
The Oceanis 34 was/is one of the all-time great marques from Beneteau. The designers achieved a balance of eye-catching lines (a pretty boat), outstanding performance (cruising or club racing) and accommodation described in reviews as 'palatial', certainly beyond expectations for a 34-footer. Attention to detail throughout is extraordinary. “Comfortably Numb” is simply IMMACULATE (a description we use sparingly). The experienced owner maintains every aspect of this vessel in a sea-ready state. A 2024 survey report states that “the Vessel presents in excellent and seaworthy condition with maintenance considered to be of an extremely high standard in all respects”.
On deck, the spray hood/bimini sheltered cockpit (laid teak on seats and sole) with wraparound seats is both comfortable and functional. The skipper can comfortably helm from either side or aft of the wheel with the pedestal-mounted instruments in clear view. The cockpit seating is comfortable and with the table (foldaway) this is where the crew will relax when at anchor. Easy stepover coamings from the cockpit to the wide, uncluttered side decks make for easy/safe access to the foredeck. The centre of the aft seat lifts giving easy access from and to the swim platform; To the port of this seat, is the quick-access lift raft compartment. There is a huge under-seat locker on the starboard side of the cockpit. The rig is simple enabling the vessel to be handled safely and efficiently by a couple. Auxiliary power is provided by an economical very well-maintained 29 hp Yanmar 3YM30 Diesel. Step below and note the delightful saloon. Heating by way of a Webasto diesel heater, the ports and hatches keep it light and airy, as does the golden Alpi woodwork. The fully functional galley is to port with the bathroom and chart table opposite. Aft of the galley is a double cabin with a huge athwartship berth. The dinette features a drop leaf table for five or six and nicely upholstered settees which can double as occasional sea berths. Forward is the double V-berth cabin, with a hanging locker to starboard, shelves on either side and lockers to port.
“Comfortably Numb” is ready for you to top up the tanks, stow your gear on board and go cruising!
