INTEGRITY BREAKS THE 50-FOOT BARRIER

Integrity is celebrating its category-breaking 530 Grand Sedan Raised Pilot House, 16-metres of luxury, style and performance that its designers attest have never been seen in this category to this standard.

Brett Flanagan, founder and director of Integrity says he has equipped the new vessel with “the best of everything”.

“I did the drawings on this new, larger model, which has all the features and feeling of a 65 to 70-footer, and I fell in love with it. I had to have one!”

The new boat is currently in build at the company’s factory in Guangzhou, China.

The 530 Grand Sedan Raised Pilot House is a massive step forward for the brand, now in its seventh year and with 64 boats on water.

The full displacement hull and keel have been refined so the 530 will turn efficiently at high speed; the electrics have been upgraded to 24 Volts systems; the full length keel encases the rudder and propeller; and propulsion has been changed to a 700hp Scania engine, offering more power and fuel efficiency for long range cruising.

“In testing, we are finding the Scania engine delivers huge savings and double our normal speeds,” says Flanagan. We anticipate incredible fuel economy , which will mean the 530 is more affordable to run, more manoeuvrable and easier to berth.”

In terms of aesthetics, the 530 boasts striking exterior lines with a new rounded profile roofline, large cockpit area of just over 12 square metres, aft galley and saloon layout connected through Integrity’s unique rear opening stainless hopper windows and doors.

The extended swim platform is 1.5-metres. The stairs to the cockpit are concealed within the transom. The cockpit features two L-shaped lounges and dining table, as well as a 200L icebox beneath the seating. The tender can be stowed on the roof or bow.

Along with full walkaround decks and high hand rails for optimal safety, the bow offers 3-metres of additional leisure space.

Inside, the raised pilothouse is 3.9-metres of useable space, featuring two helm seats and an open lounge, continuing the free-flow throughout the vessel.

But it’s the accommodation that Flanagan believes set the 530 apart from its rivals. “We have managed to create a full-beam master suite, with separate shower and head. The forward guest suite too is full beam with large ensuite, and the adjacent third cabin has Pullman beds.

“We are super excited about this new model,” Flanagan continues, anticipating a February 2017 launch.

“I aim to make it perfect. We will keep this first model fairly neutral so people can add their own ideas. Being semi-custom, nothing is set in stone, which our customers love.”

Flanagan’s wife, Brenda, will soon travel to the factory to get to work on the interiors of the new 530. “Brenda had a huge amount of input on the layout, the storage, galley, use of space and now, the décor,” says Flanagan. “At Integrity, we never stop evolving because we take onboard the suggestions and requests of our owners – particularly the wives! It’s because of them we are so successful.”

The first 530 is destined for the Whitsundays, according to Flanagan. “I would like to take her to Airlie Beach for Race Week and spend some time around the islands.”

But fate might have other plans for this impressive new model.

“A client who bought the 49 is already interested in the 530, so I guess we will just have to build another one! The 530 is a massive step for Integrity. We anticipate it will strike a chord with our current clients and a whole new generation of boat owners looking for a larger, more powerful vessel with all the benefits of an Integrity – stability, seaworthiness, fuel economy and all the features of a much larger motor yacht in 16-metres.”
